To get credit for the virtual certification, you must do the following:

  1. You must RSVP individually and attend the training in its entirety.
  2. Registration for the session will be closed 30 minutes before the training starts.
  3. A link will be e-mailed to you immediately following the training to complete the test.
  4. Test must be completed within 2 hours of the end of the training.
  5. You can take the test as many times as possible within that 2 hour window. If you still fail the test after the 2 hour timeframe, you must complete the Brainshark training, which will be available on HPHC’s broker website after live trainings have been delivered.
  6. You should NOT forward the test to anyone who has not attended the training as they will not receive credit.
  7. Annual AHIP Training is still required. Upload your AHIP Certificate on Garity’s website.

BIG NEWS! Harvard Pilgrim moving to lifetime commissions for Medicare plans

Lifetime Commissions

TO ALL MEDICARE AGENTS SELLING IN MA, NH and ME:

Effective immediately, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare (HPHC) is removing the limitations on Medicare commissions for their Medicare Advantage (Stride HMO) and Medicare Supplement plans. They will now pay lifetime commissions on all new and renewal business.

What does this mean?

All broker-driven membership will be subject to unlimited renewal span with payout amounts as outlined by CMS on an annual basis. Typically, the first-year commission is paid in full after enrollment has been confirmed. Renewals will continue to be paid monthly at the prorated amount.
HPHC Broker Compensation document will be updated to reflect the changes.

Brokers contracted through GarityAdvantage will be automatically adjusted to receive the lifetime commission.

This is a great chance to learn 2018 product and take care of Stride certification requirements in one face-to-face meeting. (AHIP still required)
Be prepared for AEP 2018!

By attending this meeting, agents will satisfy the 2018 Stride training and certification. The entire process will take approx. 90 minutes (training, then certification).

Contract completion/submission to GarityAdvantage required prior to attending.
