Brian Garity becomes President1970
The agency started in 1970 as the Joseph I. Garity Agency, a life, health and annuity agency serving brokers in the Boston area.
In 1985 Brian Garity joined the company with a focus on health insurance products for individuals and small businesses, quickly grew the company’s distribution to include all 6 New England states.
1988
The company was incorporated as Garity Associates Brokerage Insurance Agency, Inc. and Brian Garity became President in 2000.2003
Garity Associates increased its product offerings and expertise by merging with, Payson Williamson Life Insurance Company, a leading marketer of life, annuity and substandard products.

Integrity Marketing Group, LLC (“Integrity”), the nation’s largest independent distributor of life and health insurance products acquires GarityAdvantage.

Brian grew up in the insurance business. He worked for his father as a life insurance agent while attending the University of Massachusetts, where he studied economics and history. After graduation, he joined the family business and quickly expanded into health insurance brokerage, driving around New England recruiting independent agents.
By the mid 90’s, when Brian was promoted to President, they had become one of the largest writers of under-65 medical insurance in New England. Brian then purchased the agency from his father in 2000.
