Dr. James P. Cardon is Hartford HealthCare’s (HHC’s) chief clinical integration officer and head of Integrated Care Partners, HHC’s clinical integration organization of 2000 providers from employed as well as private practice. Integrated Care Partners is responsible for improving access, developing and implementing evidence-based best practices, reducing variability of care and defining, measuring and managing clinical excellence for member physicians. Integrated Care Partners engages with payers to implement value based payment agreements that are linked to quality and cost of care. Dr. Cardon, a cardiologist for more than 25 years, is a senior staff member of Hartford Hospital’s Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology.
Dr. Cardon graduated Bachelor of Science from Boston College and earned his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Cardon is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Connecticut State Medical Association and the Hartford County Medical Association.

Marc Hudak was appointed president of CarePartners of Connecticut Inc. in January 2018. In this first of its kind collaboration in Connecticut between a health system, Hartford HealthCare, and health plan, Tufts Health Plan, Marc is responsible for defining and executing the company’s strategy and for delivering a unique experience to its customers and network providers.
Marc previously served as market president at Evolent Health. His primary focus was collaborating with provider-sponsored health plans and a Next Gen Accountable Care Organization (ACO) to establish and execute strategic plans for value-based care, deploy new population health capabilities, and launch clinical care models to effectively manage risk and improve care for Medicare Advantage, ACO, Medicaid and commercial customers.
Prior to his career at Evolent Health, Marc served as the vice president of care innovation and integration at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island. In this role he was responsible for delivery system strategic planning, medical management, care model innovation, pharmacy and behavioral health. Previously he held several leadership roles at Cigna including in ACO development, strategy and new market entry for Cigna International, the Korean private medical insurance business, new market development, post-merger integration, medical economics and network management. He is a member of the HopeHealth board of directors and is the co-lead of its strategic planning committee.
Marc received an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut and a B.S. in economics from the Pennsylvania State University.
